Igwe Nanka Anambra YSFON U-17 Finals Hits Awka City Stadium Sunday

Awka City Stadium will come alive on Sunday 21st August, 2022 with youthful effervescent football as the Igwe Nanka Anambra YSFON U-17 tournament draws it’s curtains.

The catch them young tournament which began July 16th across the three Senatorial zones of the state saw transformational football filled with talent discovery and exchange of friendship at it’s best.

The journey to the finals which started with 28 teams distributed across seven groups will Sunday witness the last chase for the best three among four remaining teams.

Ozala FC Obosi, Hopeland FC Nnewi, Aguata Grassroots FA Ekwulobia and Super stars FC Onitsha equitably representing the three Senatorial zones of the state are the teams that survived the youthful soccer hostilities to be in the highly sought-after Igwe Nanka Anambra YSFON U-17 tournament finals.

Aguata Grassroots Football Academy will seek to redeem their status of defending champions shattered in the Semi finals by Ozala FC with a bronze consolation in their third place match against Super Stars FC.

It will be a rivalry reawakening finals with Ozala FC squaring up against Hopeland FC. Both teams had shown class from the round of 16 handing various brands of heavy defeats to other contenders on their way to the finals.

While the third place match will be played by 12 noon, the much awaited finals with begin by 2pm.

His Royal Highness Igwe Godwin Ezeilo Obu Nanka, will grace the finals with his presence in the company of his cabinet members, supporting traditional rulers in the state, friends and we’ll wishers.
