GM Radio Kwara Hosts Abruka Queens, Commends Them For Doing Kwara Proud In AITEO Cup

Despite their recent loss at the ongoing AITEO Cup, Abruka Queens were today (Friday) hosted by the General Manager of Radio Kwara, Alhaji Kayode Aremu

Abruka Queens who lost by three goals to one against Abia Angels in the round of sixteen of the football Championship  were treated to a welcome party as a sign of appreciation and encouragement following their sterling performance by the General Manager of Radio Kwara, and other Management Staff of the Corporation.

Abruka Queens FC on Friday returned to Ilorin after their elimination in the round of 16 of the Aiteo Cup football Championship decided in Benin on Thursday.

Speaking at the brief event, the General Manager of Radio Kwara, Alhaji Kayode Aremu Commended the Players and officials of Abruka Queens fc for their resilience and determination.

He noted that their sojourn in this year’s Aiteo Cup Competition will further motivate them to improve in the future Championship.

He urged them to see their elimination in the competition as a temporary setback and work hard to surpass the feat next year.

Earlier, the founder and proprietress of Abruka Queens FC, Alhaja Segilola Alaya praised the team for their determination and commitment as one of the state’s representatives in this year’s Aiteo Cup.

She said that Abruka Queens FC has made history for the state as a team founded about two years ago and went all the way to represent Kwara State.

Alhaja Alaya who thanked Alhaji Kayode Aremu for hosting the team, said the club will go to the drawing board to prepare for future Challenges and Continue to complement the efforts of the Present administration towards football development in the state

Giving a vote of thanks, the skipper of the Club, Ojo Ifeoluwa appreciated Proprietress of Club and General Manager of Radio Kwara for the mini reception and promised to work towards achieving podium finish in the subsquent competitions for the State.
