A scholar in the Department of Linguistics, Faculty of Arts, Prof. Cecilia Eme and the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration), a Professor of Obstetrics & Gynaecology in the Faculty Of Medicine, Prof. Joseph Ikechebelu have volunteered and translated the Probiotic Infographics into Igbo Language.
This effort in Igbo translation is making it the first African Language to be included among other world major languages that Probiotic Infographics has been translated into.
The two scholars participating in ISAPP which is an association of academic and industrial scientists involved in basic and applied research on probiotics and prebiotics both have a common interest in generating high-quality scientific information for the probiotic and prebiotic fields and providing guidance for collaborative and multidisciplinary research.
According to reports, ISAPP is the only scientific organization explicitly dedicated to probiotics and prebiotics, bringing together scientists from all pertinent disciplines, including food science, microbiology, immunology, biochemistry, and human and animal nutrition.
The organization raises the scientific credibility of the field by working with experts, conducting meetings, and facilitating high-quality research.
As a scientific society, ISAPP focuses on advancing science rather than promoting specific commercial products. ISAPP activities also benefit users of probiotic and prebiotic products by providing an objective, science-based voice that they can trust to help guide informed choices.
