UEFA Champions League winner, Finidi George was Friday unveiled by Ifeanyi Ekwueme Tico/Select Preseason Tournament organisers as the Legend of the tournament,  Newspathfinder.com reports.

‘Finito’, as he was fondly called by fans during his illustrious career days at Ajax Amsterdam and Super Eagles, will be one of the high profile football icons that will add colour to the 4th edition of the tournament holding simultaneously at Asaba and Enugu from October 20.

Finidi was unveiled in Aba on Friday. He is the incumbent Technical Adviser of Enyimba Int’l FC, Nigeria’s decorated and most successful club, having won the CAF Champions League twice in 2003 and 2004.

Finidi’s Enyimba will play their group B matches in Enugu, which presents Coal City football freaks a rare opportunity to see the 1994 AFCON winner.

They will battle it out with the likes of Plateau United, Niger Tornadoes, Rangers, Excellent FC and Golden United FA.
