The Presidential Candidate of Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi, has expressed sadness over the death of his uncle, Chief Sylvester Nwobu-Alor, describing it as devastating.

Obi while reacting to Nwobu-Alor’s death requested for one minute silence when he got the news during his consultations in faraway United Kingdom.

He described Chief Nwobu-Alor as a consummate politician, recalling the critical part he played in his political journey; how he consulted him every now and then, and all his enduring advice that made him became a better politician over time.

The Labour Party presidential hopeful prayed for the repose of the soul of his uncle, saying that for the memories of people like him, he would continue to be encouraged to serve the people selflessly

Nwobu-Alor was a second republic lawmaker and also served under Obi’s government as an Aide on Markets and parks.
