It is now confirmed that the last group A match involving Apex Krane and Ingas Fc, will hold on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at the Rangers Lagacy Pitch, Enugu.

According to the organizers, the outstanding match is reason the final of the tournament was not decided Sunday, October 30 as earlier scheduled.

The winner of the match will meet Rangers in the second semi final with Nnewi United already through to the final.

But the organising committee explained that the fixture had been put on hold as a result of ‘logistic reasons’.

“You could recall that group A matches were earlier slated for Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba, but had to be moved to Enugu at the last minute following renovation work at the stadium ahead of the National Sports Festival coming up this November.

“So, we decided to move all the teams to Enugu and this brought in its wake a kind of fixture congestion all the group A and B matches now have to be played on same pitch.

“It’s kind of ‘Force majeur’ and we had to to look into available date to squeeze in the match and we’ve now decided that Wednesday November 2 will be ideal”, an official explained.

Ingas FC is coached by a former Nigeria international and Atlanta ’96 U23 Eagles Olympic Soccer Gold Medal winner, Kingsley ‘Shagari’ Obiekwu.
