Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), South East Zone has joined football loving Nigerians to congratulate the new Vice President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Chief Anyansi Agwu.
Chief Anyansi Agwu, one of the zone’s best gift to Nigerian football family emerged the Vice President of the country’s apex football body after defeating the chairman of Senate Committee on Sports, Senator Obinna Ogba at the NFF elective Congress held in Benin, Edo state.
In a statement signed by the Vice President, Chigozie Chukwuleta and the Secretary, Ijeoma Nwante , the Association believe that he will bring his wealth of experience in charting a new and good course for Nigerian Football.

The executive and members of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria SWAN, South East Zone wish to felicitate with Chief Anyansi Agwu on his election as the 1st Vice President of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF.
SWAN South East Zone under the leadership of Ms Chigozie Chukwuleta (VP South East) joins many Nigerians and particularly our South East football fraternity to rejoice with our own as we are without doubt that he will bring his wealth of experience in charting a new and good course for Nigerian Football.
The sports writers body however wishes to use this opportunity to urge the Enyimba Int’l FC of Aba Chairman and the new NFF Board members under the leadership of Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau on the need to unite the Nigerian football family and drive a new and positive innovations that will take Nigerian football to greater heights.
