Nanka Champions League Kicks Off.

The 2022 Nanka Champions League kicked off today with three matches played at the Neros Stadium Nanka.

The multimillion naira annual championship that has produced professional players within and outside Nigeria has eleven teams contending to carry the coveted trophy.

Nanka Champions League 2022 edition has three groups with four teams in group A and B while group C has three teams.

The group stage matches will end on 27th December with the tournament going into the quarter finals stage to be played on 28th and 29th December, 2022.

Semi finals will be played on 30th and 31st December while January 1st 2023 will host the third place and final matches respectively.

The over 40 years old tournament has enjoyed robust sponsorship by Chief Poly Emenike (Odinigbo Nanka) in the last 39 years.

In the first match played today,  Ota branch defeated Onitsha branch 2-0.

Kwara branch in the second match spanked Benin branch 3-0 while Nkpor and Umuahia settled for a goal less draw in the last game of the day.
