FC Golden Utd In Tico/Select Tournament To Catch Attention Of Big Clubs ——-Coach Aneke

FC Golden United Academy coach, Favour Aneke has said that his boys at the ongoing Tico/Select Preseason Tournament are in it to express themselves and see if they could catch the attention of the big league clubs.

Aneke’s youngsters who yesterday came from behind to snatch a valuable point against Lamry Fc in their group B fixture are battling A&A KIV this morning at the Rangers Legacy Pitch.

The young coach also disclosed that despite his team being an academy side has a mission to accomplish in the 2022 Ifeanyi Ekwueme Tico/Select Preseason Tournament which got underway Thursday.

“The tournament means a lot to me and the boys, it is an avenue for my young players to compete against NLO, NNL and NPFL clubs”.

“It’s competitions like this Tico/Select Preseason Tournament that offers youngsters like my players the opportunity to play against top teams in the Nationwide League, Nigeria National League and even the Nigeria Professional Football League”, Aneke said.

He said they are in the Tico/Select Preseason Tournament,to compete and make an impact.

“We are not here just to make up the numbers. Our ambition is to make the most of the opportunity of coming here”.
