Chief Executive of Villa Toscana Group of Hotels, Hon. Francis Obasi, was unveiled Thursday by the organisers of the 2022 edition of the annual Ifeanyi Ekwueme Tico/Select Preseason Tournament, Newspathfinder.com reports.
The brief ceremony took place in Enugu with the delighted Villa Toscana Hotel CEO pledging support to the tournament.
Obasi spoke during his unveiling in Enugu Thursday as one of the strong supporters of the 4th edition of the Annual Ifeanyi Ekwueme Tico/Select Preseason Football Tournament.
Obasi has,been a strong admirer and fan of the former Super Eagles midfielder right from his day’s at (now defunct) Jasper United FC, Onitsha.
“It’s been a long period of friendship with Ifeanyi. It’s like the proverbial old wine that tastes sweeter with age.
“Right from his playing days at Jasper United, we’ve been together and we will continue to be.
“That’s why I’m supporting the Tico/Select Preseason Tournament,and will continue to do so.
“Even my (hotel) staff at Asaba, Lagos and even here at Enugu patronise Tico/Select wears”, Hon. Obasi said.
He pledged his unalloyed support for the 3022/2023 edition of the Ifeanyi Ekwueme Tico/Select Preseason Tournament.
The 2022 Edition of the preseason tournament will kick off on October 20 at Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba and Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu simultaneously.
The final will be played in Asaba.
Enyimba, Rangers, Plateau United, Niger Tornadoes, Excellent FC, A&A Kiviasennus Palvelut FC and Golden United Football Academy are logged in group B with center as Enugu while Asaba will host group A center with Rivers United, Abia Warriors, Bayelsa United, Nnewi United, Apex Krane FC, Lamry FC and Ingas FC slugging it out for the two semi final slots.
