As Nigeria marks her sixty second Independence anniversary , a political affairs commentator, Comrade Obi Ochije has called on the federal government to put drastic measures in place to reduce the sufferings of the masses.
Comrade Ochije who made the call while speaking with our Newspathfinder in Awka, Anambra state said the high cost of every commodity in the country have brought untold hardship to the greater population of the citizens .
He commended the founding fathers of the country for their gallantry efforts in securing the nation’s Independence from the colonial masters.
Comrade Ochije regretted that corruption which is occassioned by bad leadership had crippled the nation’s wheel of progress and slowed down the realization of the dreams of the funding fathers sixty years ago.
Comrade Ochije noted that though the country have achieved a lot in the past sixty two years, a lot more still needed to be done to guarantee the continued existence of Nigeria.
The Political Affairs Commentator called on Nigerians to use the upcoming general election in 2023 to elect credible leaders who can turnaround the present economic quagmire the country is into.
According to him, the electorates have the opportunity to change the present narratives in the education , Health and other sectors by voting young and energetic leaders .
Comrade Ochije who is the Secretary , Dozie Nwankwo Campaign Organization called on the people of Anambra Central to consider his track record as a House of Representative Member while making the choice for a senatorial candidate during next years general election.
