Team Nasarawa have picked up another medal at the 21st National Sports Festival in Asaba, Delta State.

Jennifer Atabwer and Comfort Adakole came joint-second position with their Benue State counterparts, Jennifer Asan and Blessing Obaje in the Female Amateur Golf Team Event at the Ibori Golf and Country Club, Asaba.

However, checks by comeback saw Team Nasarawa settling for the Bronze  Medal.

It’s the fifth Bronze Medal won by Team Nasarawa since the Festival began on 30th November, 2022, and seventh overall medal, with two Silver Medals won in Para-Table Tennis and Para-Powerlifting Events.

In Handball, Imo state Female Handball team cruised into finals by defeating  Team Lagos 27-23.

The first half ended 13-13 as the more experienced Imo Strikers came out with vigour at the second half and told them that there are differences between Eastern Heartland and Center of Excellence.

The match was played at Ogwashiuku Mini Stadium.
