Enyimba coach Emmanuel Deutsch has told his players to stay humble and focused as they chase a third consecutive victory in the Nigeria Premier Football League.
The Aba Elephants face Katsina United today, Matchday 8 of the 2026/27 season, at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium, Katsina, by 4pm.
Enyimba struggled early in the campaign but have bounced back with wins over Shooting Stars 4-2 and Plateau United 2-0 after a goalless draw with Kano Pillars. The revival has raised expectations, but Deutsch is demanding caution.
Deutsch said his side will not be carried away by recent results, stressing that the league is a marathon and they must approach games one at a time.
He also charged his players to block out distractions and stay professional, noting that focus and proper planning bring results.
Enyimba are 15th on the log with 7 points from 7 matches — two wins, one draw, four losses — with 9 goals scored and 10 conceded. Katsina United are 11th with 9 points from two wins, three draws and two defeats, scoring six and conceding nine.
The hosts have been inconsistent, beating Niger Tornadoes and Doma United, losing to Shooting Stars and drawing with Rivers United and Inter Lagos, but will look to use home advantage.
A win for Enyimba would extend their winning streak and boost their climb up the table, while Katsina need points to push into the top half.
