The NPFL Secretaries’ Forum has commended the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) for conducting a successful 78th elective congress in Benin City Edo State amidst turbulence and threats from several quarters.

The forum in a statement signed by the Chairman Chibuzo Nwogu admonished the newly elected executive board of the Federation led by Ibrahim Gusau to justify the confidence reposed in them and live up to the expectations of Nigerians in this critical moment of football and national life as visionary leaders.

It also charged the new leadership of football administration in Nigeria to take Nigeria football to a higher level.

The Forum appreciated the out gone president Mr Amaju Melvin Pinnick for a successful tenure and transition.

The Forum advised Pinnick to consider his exit as promotion and focus on the bigger assignment as CAF and FIFA Executive Council Member and continue to be a good ambassador of Nigeria.

The Secretaries of Nigeria top league sent a good will message to Nigeria football fraternity and indeed all Nigerians on the 62nd independence anniversary and enjoined them to imbibe the spirit of unity in all they do to make Nigeria a better place.
