The President General, Electrical Dealers International Market, Obosi, Comrade Chike Johnbosco Onunkwo has commended Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo for constituting anti-touting taskforce to restore sanity in the commercial city of Onitsha.

Exchanging views with the Press in his Office at Electrical Market, Obosi, Comrade Onunkwo noted that the taskforce is doing well to eradicate the ugly trend which he said scares customers from coming into Anambra State.

The Electrical Dealers Market President also observed that their market which is now eighteen years old is doing well in all ramifications, adding that the hosting of the 2023 end of year prayer crusade organized by the Anambra State Markets Evangelism Coordinators Committee, ANSMECC in collaboration with the Prayer and Evangelism Coordinators of Electrical Market, Obosi was an indication of the unity of purpose in the markets.

While affirming that the one day prayer crusade was soul enriching for the participants who also came from other markets in the State, he observed that the there is need for fervent prayers for God to intervene in the various challenges facing the South Eastern Nigeria.

He emphasized that within his two years in office, his administration has done much to improve the ease of doing business in the Market, noting that they have completed the asphalting of 380 Meters of access Road from Electrical Market to the new 2nd Niger Bridge.

“We have also built toilet facilities in the Market to provide decent convenience for both our members and our customers”, Comrade Onunkwo said.

“Our Solution Governor is not relenting in making the markets in Anambra State to flourish. People are scared of coming into Anambra State to do business because of the nefarious activities of toutes all over the place, but the Governor is on top of the situation now, which has brought immense relief to the traders in the State”, he continued.

Comrade Onunkwo also applauded Governor Soludo for the palliative works done on Onitsha-Owerri Road, which is a Federal Road, to ease movement for commuters on that Road.

He appealed to the Governor to provide Security Van for them to enhance security in their Market as well as Fire Fighting Trucks in case of fire disaster.
