Scholarly Output Names UNIZIK VC, DVC Among Top 500 Nigerian Authors

The Vice-Chancellor,  Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Prof. Charles Esimone,  and Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration), Prof. Joseph Ikechebelu, have both been listed among the top 500 authors by scholarly output in Nigeria.

The scholarly output data made public by Scopus updated on Saturday, 24th December 2022 outlined scholarly outputs in Nigeria from 2019 to 2022.

According to the release, Esimone, Charles Okechukwu, a professor of Biopharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Microbiology and Vice-Chancellor of UNIZIK had 31 scholarly outputs for 2022 year, 81 citations, 2.6 for citations per publications, 0.61 for field weight citation impact and 21 for h-index.

Ikechebelu, Joseph Ikechebelu, a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology as well as the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration) of UNIZIK had 30 scholarly outputs for 2022 year, 96 citations, 3.2 for citations per publications, 0.65 for field weight citation impact and 15 for h-index.

Other scholars who made the list from UNIZIK are Engr. Joshua Ighalo who made the top 100 from the Department of Chemical Engineering with 167 scholarly outputs for 2022 year, 3006 citations, 18 for citations per publications, 2.87 for field weight citation impact and 32 for h-index.

Prof. Onukwuli Okechukwu Dominic from the Department of Chemical Engineering also made the top 100 with 68 scholarly outputs for 2022 year, 674 citations, 9.9 for citations per publications, 1.19 for field weight citation impact and 19 for h-index.

Dr. Igwegbe, Chinenye Adaobi also made the top 100 from the Department of Chemical Engineering with 61 scholarly outputs for 2022 year, 1289 citations, 21.1 for citations per publications, 3.22 for field weight citation impact and 23 for h-index while Prof. Menkiti, Matthew Chukwudi produced 27 scholarly outputs for 2022 year, 203 citations, 7.5 for citations per publications, 1.43 for field weight citation impact and 15 for h-index.
