Members of staff of Nnamdi Azikiwe University and the citizens of Anambra State have been enjoined to form a bridge that will encourage unity, love and peaceful coexistence for humanity.
This was the advise of a friend to the University, benefactor and Chairman Ike God Foods Industries Limited, Mr. Ikenna Ifejiofor on the occasion of the UNIZIK Christmas and Nine Lessons with the theme “Bridging the Divine – Human gap held at the University Auditorium recently.
Mr Ifejiofor stated that the theme for the programme was apt as there is need for people to partner with God in order to serve as a bridge for men to build their fellow humans, provide the platform for them to achieve their destiny and the will of the creator over their life.
He opined that Christmas and New Year celebration is a period to celebrate the birth of Christ and more importantly for one to be in a state of sober reflection over one’s attitude to life, interaction with fellow humans and think outside the box on ways to serve humanity by providing solution to societal problems.
He also encouraged the citizens of the state and Nigerians at large to develop a culture of fraternal love and giving to the poor and needy as the hallmark of the celebrations while encouraging all to lend helping hands to one another.
