Two professional boxers from Anambra won their fights on Tuesday in the Monarch Promotions ‘King of the Ring 2’ show at the prestigious Eko Club at Bode Thomas Surulere Lagos.

Victor Beneth fighting in the Light Heavyweight category defeated Ghanaian, Joseph Tetteh via unanimous decision after 8 Rounds of actions.

It was Beneth’s third straight victory as he now has a record of four fights, three wins and one draw (3-0-1).

Meanwhile, Michael Kosisochukwu Ani, a Middleweight who just turned Pro had his debut fight.

The Enugu born fighter who resides in Onitsha beat Lagos based Ugonna Emmanuel via Unanimous decision after 4 Rounds of Boxing.

The fights were undercards of the WBO Africa Title fight where England based Pakistani, Tasif Khan defeated Ghanaian Gabriel Laryea to become the new champion.

There were 7 other undercard bouts in the big night of King of the Ring 2.

CEO of Monarch Events and Promotions, Prince Stanley Williams praised both Beneth and Ani for their efforts and urged them to continue training hard even during the yuletide season.

“I am happy with how you dominated your opponents and I want to urge you to be professional enough even during the Christmas and New year celebrations as you know your next fights will be in March next year and the plans for 2023 is that we move higher towards title fight for you Beneth and more fights to build your record Michael.”
