Delta 2022: Team Anambra Register Three Greenhorns For Gymnastics Event

Anambra State team officials have discovered and registered three new athletes for the Gymnastics events of the ongoing 21st edition of the National Sports Festival (NSF) tagged “Delta 2022” holding at the Stephen Keshi Stadium Asaba, Delta State.

This was disclosed by the Director, Anambra State Sports Development Commission (ASSDC), Madam Faith Okwonna on Monday prior to the commencement of the Gymnastics event holding at the indoor Sports Hall of the Stephen Keshi Stadium.

According to Okwonna, the three athletes comprising on two females and a male are Blessing Eliku, Ethel Jimoh and Kenneth Agabata. They will feature in six events – floor, beam, bars, vault, tumbling and aerobics. Meanwhile Anambra also registered a new entrant, Hannah Fidelis for the Wushu Kung-Fu event.

Gymnastics is one of the 24 events that Anambra registered for at the ongoing games which holds from Monday, 4th to Friday, 9th December 2022.

Anambra have so far secured six medals – 2 Gold, 2 Silver and 2 Bronze at the festival.
