NSF: Bayelsa Begins Athletics Medals Journey With 20,000m Walk Gold

Team Bayelsa today began their athletics medal  journey at the ongoing National Sports Festival with a win in the 20,000m Race Walk Women Final, T1.

Asado Quensly finished 2:10.21 to hand them the gold of the event which took place at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba. Danladi Nanlop of Plateau state walked 2:11.25 to pick silver.

Faustina Ogwu of Delta and Raheem Rukayat of Edo walked 2:13.31 and 2:37.48 to finish third and fourth respectively.

Florence Idahosa of Edo state did not finish the event.

Athletics event of the 21st National Sports Festival kicked off today.
