The performance level of African teams and their advancement to the group of 16 in the ongoing FIFA World Cup has been commended.

A journalist and football analyst Mr Jude Atupulazi while speaking with Newspathfinder described the African teams outing as a good development for the continent.

According to him, African teams have done well, “In all African teams have done very well. Tunisia didn’t qualify but went with their heads high after beating world champions, France”,

“If eventually only Senegal and Morocco qualify I will say this is one of the best outings for African teams in the mundial”, he said.

He described Morocco as a tournament surprise, “Morocco have surprised me because I never saw them as capable of achieving what they did ahead of world’s number two and last tournament’s finalists, Croatia”,

“But here they are. They even look the most organized African team at the moment and have conceded only a goal . African teams have made us proud”, he stated.
