The first indigenous women football supporters club in Nigeria, Sapphire Nigeria Women Football Supporters Club (SNWFSC) have once again shown solidarity with the Nigeria national women football team as they described the history making Flamingos as worthy ambassadors.

The Flamingos had a fairytale ride in the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup in India as they finished as the 3rd best team in the tournament after defeating Germany in penalty shootout in the 3rd place game.

“We are so proud of the Flamingos, they achieved a remarkable feat which will be written down in the history of women football in Nigeria.

“We at Sapphire Nigeria Women Football Supporters Club appreciate the Flamingos for flying the Nigeria flag high in India, they were able to achieve their success due to how they defeated their obstacles”,

“The Flamingos are history makers and worthy ambassadors of Nigeria, congratulations to them and we pray they continue to soar high to glory.”
