The Comptroller General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, brought together the management team and officers of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) for a joyful Christmas carol service on December 21, 2023. The event, themed “Dine and Grill with the CGC,” took place at the NCS Management Quarters, creating a festive atmosphere to celebrate the holiday season.

During the gathering, CGC Adeniyi expressed warm Christmas wishes to all officers and urged them to embrace the season’s true spirit, emphasizing the values of love and forgiveness. In his address, he highlighted that Christmas is not only a time for official gatherings but also an opportunity for officers to come together, relax, and enjoy each other’s company.

The Christmas carol service was a blend of musical performances, dance, and festive decorations. Officers and management team members actively participated, creating a sense of unity and camaraderie. The CGC’s call to imbibe the essence of Christmas resonated throughout the event, encouraging a spirit of togetherness and goodwill among the customs community.

As the officers enjoyed the evening, the atmosphere was filled with laughter, joy, and the unmistakable sounds of Christmas carols. The event offered a break from the routine, allowing everyone to unwind and celebrate the year’s accomplishments.

In his closing remarks, CGC Adeniyi thanked all officers for their hard work and dedication throughout the year. He reiterated the importance of fostering a positive work environment and encouraged everyone to carry the spirit of Christmas into the coming year.

The “Dine and Grill with the CGC” Christmas carol service not only provided a festive way to celebrate the holiday season but also reinforced the sense of unity within the Nigeria Customs Service. It served as a reminder that beyond official duties, there is a shared community that values the joy and camaraderie that the Christmas season brings.
