Shortly after, the trio of Agada Elijah, Isah Ahmadu and Agada Ofu, combined to win another Taekwondo Bronze Medal for the State in the Poomsae Team Event.

The Coach Lois Jerry-tutored side, however, was unlucky to increase the medal haul as Isah Ahmadu lost 12-14 in the depth to his Yobe State counterpart, Aliyu Salisu Adamu, in the Quarter-Finals stage of the -58kg Male Category.

He is yet to know his Semi-Finals opponent.

In Golf, team Nasarawa golfers waded their way through to the second round in the Amateur Event decided today at the Ibori Golf and Country Club, Asaba.

In Boxing , Samuel John(51kg) fought his way through to the second round following win over his Osun State opponent.

He will face any of the opponents from Oyo or Delta State in the morning on Saturday at the Event Centre, Okpanam Road, Asaba.

Habeeb Obayomi(57kg) also won his fight against Kwara State, and through to the second round.

He will face his Oyo State opponent on Saturday.
