Condemnation has continued to trail the fatal attack last weekend on Senator Ifeanyi Ubah’s convoy at Enugwu Ukwu, Anambra state that led to various degrees of fatalities.

The Nigeria Pillar of Sports, Chief Donatus Agu Ejidike has condemned the act aimed at the life of owner of defunct FC Ifeanyi Ubah.

Chief Ejidike in a statement made available by the Chairman, Office of the Nigeria Pillar of Sports, Prince Olayioye Shola Ajide lamented the state of insecurity, murder, arson, and incessant killings in Nigeria which has instilled fear and palpable emotions in the minds of the people.

He empathized with Senator Ifeanyi Uba who escape by whiskers over the gruesome killings of his aides including police officers in his convoy last weekend.

“Spilling blood of Innocents and attempting to kill fellow human beings in a circumstances of ambush and shooting guns is uncalled for and condemned. Our roads are no longer safe; unknown gunmen have become a nightmare in the minds of the citizens particularly road users. I appeal that these act of killings should be eschewed because no nation can progress in the atmosphere of insecurity.”

The sports philanthropist also called on the government to put in place adequate measures to curb further occurrence and meaningfully provide jobs for the teeming youths who, out of frustration take to drug abuse or join bad groups to perpetuate evil.

He equally tasked the security agents to fish out the perpetrators and let them face the full wrath of the law.
