Late Nasarawa taekwondo Athlete Maria Raphael Begins Final Journey Home

The final trip to eternity for Nasarawa State gold medalist Taekwondo athlete, Maria Raphael, who passed on to eternal glory on 26th August, 2022, in a ghastly motor accident in Lafia will begin on Thursday, 8th September, 2022..

The information about her burial arrangements was made available in a press release by the  Public Relations Officer, Nasarawa State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development Mr Eche Amos .

According to the statement, on the same Thursday, corpse leaves the Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital, Lafia, by 6 o’clock in the morning for her home town, Neke, in Isi-Uzo Local Government Area of Enugu State.

Final internment holds later in the day.

The late Maria Raphael was aged 31 years.

“We at the Nasarawa State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development pray for the repose of her soul in heaven and grant her loved ones the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss”, the statement read.
