The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), South-East Zone, has congratulated Chief Ugo Udezue on his election as Vice President of the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF).
Chief Udezue emerged as Vice President at the federation’s elective congress held in Abuja last week.
In a statement jointly signed by the Zonal Vice President, Ikemefuna Asika and Zonal Secretary, Kennedy Onwunali, SWAN South-East described his emergence as a welcome development for basketball in the South-East and Nigeria at large.
The association noted that Chief Udezue is the first person from the South-East zone to be elected to the position.
SWAN South-East prayed God to grant him and the new leadership of the NBBF the wisdom to steer the affairs of basketball in the country to greater heights.
