As the 2022 edition of the EkoFootball Men’s League continue to take shape and get into it’s crucial stages, two top teams in Group A Dosu Joseph Football Academy and Group B Roro FC top the league tables with 23 points apiece after playing a total of 11 matches each in the two categories.

Meanwhile in Group A, there is a possibility of a position change when the Lagos Football Association Technical Committee take a decision on the protest filed by Group A second placed team, Young Stars FC against first position team, Dosu Joseph FA. Young Stars FC are following closely at the top with 22 points from Week 14 matches.

Dosu Joseph FA has +13 Goal Difference, compared to Young Stars FC +16 Goal Difference.
The decision on the Stars’ protest will go a long way in determining who stays in first and second positions.

There are other decisions to be taken in matches involving two other games in Group A.

The Dotun Coker-led Technical Committee would also have to take decisions on the walk over recorded by TailGate FC against Edunz FC, where three goals and three points decision has been written down, when Edunz FC did not honour the match.

Another decision may have to be taken by the Lagos FA as MAY FC didn’t just honour their fixture against SAB FC, the home team, SAB Fc, didn’t pay the Referees Indemnity whose payment would have made the match valid with a report.

In Group B, after Week 14 games and 12 matches Roro FC top the table with 23 points and +8 Goal Difference after they defeated Lekki JNR Strikers FC 2-1.
In second position is Ighalo FC with equall y 23 points but an inferior +7 Goal Difference after pummelling UNIZEE FC 6-1 in an away fixture.

The Lagos FA Technical Department, would have to take a decision on the home match between Badagry United FC which Badagry recorded a walk over in their favour, against Shola FC that failed to honour the match.

From all indications the placements in Group A may have to change looking at the circumstances of the last matches in the group.

And any decision can change the positions in the group. While the positions in the Group B may not change, as matches were fully concluded.
