The NFF Referees Development Committee has ordered the immediate stepping down of two more from the Nigeria National League.

This according to a circular from the Committee is in view of the outcomes of matches and other misconducts exhibited by the concerned
Officials in a Matchday 3 involving Ikorodu City and FC One Rocket. The affected referees are Centre Referee Ajibola Kassem from Ogun State and his Assistant Referee 1 Akinade Saburi from Oyo State.

In the notification signed from the Unit, the stepping down was with immediate effect from the league until further notice.

It could be recalled that Committee had earlier stepped down four referees that handed some matches in the MatchDay 1 and 2 late in November.

Speaking on the development, the Chief Operating Officer of the League Dr Ayo Abdulrahaman said the League body will continue to monitor the league matches to ensure that the officiating is in line with the laws of the game.
