The management of Ibom Angels Football Club, has congratulated Nigeria’s representative in this year’s WAFU Zone B qualifiers, Bayelsa Queens Footbal Club, for qualifying for this year’s CAF Women’s Champions League in Morocco.

The team defeated Ghana’s Ampem Darkom Ladies 3-0 in the final of the WAFU Zone B qualifiers at the Stade du Yamoussoukro, Cote d’Ivoire.

The club will be the second Nigerian team that will participate at the CAF Women’s Champions League, after Rivers Angels featured at the maiden edition in Egypt last year.

The management expressed joy over the superlative performance of the team at the competition, attributing the success to good league qualities in the country organized by the NWFL led-by Aisha Folade.

It is believed that the team will live up to expectations as they prepare ahead for the main CAF Women’s Champions League to be hosted in Morocco later in the year
