Maureen Mmadu Football Kiddies Continue Hunt For Moroccan Trip Support

People with passion for the girl child development in Anambra state and Nigeria have been called upon to come to the aid of the young female football talents preparing for a tournament in Morocco.

The call was made by the former Super Falcons assistant Coach, Maureen Mmadu while speaking on a topic ‘Raising The Bar: Harnessing Female Talents, in ABS TV program, Good Morning Anambra show.

The former international who is the proprietor of the Maureen Mmadu Football Kiddies Camp said it is very important for the team to participate in the tournament to give the girls exposure and help them showcase their talents.

Coach Maureen Mmadu while thanking those who are responding and those making efforts to help said the urgent need is to enable the team complete payments for flights tickets, accommodation etc as she has made some commitments to the tune of over four million Naira.

Speaking on the mental trauma that followed  the refusal of Danish embassy  to issue visa for the team to participate in 2022 Dana Cup, Coach Mmadu said the Morocco trip will be a relief for the girls.

“I am seeking public help to assist the girls travel to Morroco after our failed attempt to participate in Dana Cup. After the Denmark disappointment I had to work hard to get this particular opportunity”,

“I had to raise money through some support and my personal money to seek for alternative opportunity to give the girls chance to showcase their talents and relief them of the mental trauma of that disappointment”.

“I spent a lot in the failed trip which no refund is coming and l have put in huge financial commitment in the current effort”,

“I am calling on our people within and outside to come to the aid of the girls and help them realize their dream of playing professional football. The exposure will boost their morale”,

“Whoever that supports this dream will not regret his or her investment as the girls are bundles of talents waiting to explode”

“Honestly I Maureen will never rest until the dreams of this children are realized”.

Coach Mmadu, therefore begged Nigerians  to assist the team to complete the payment of their visa fees, having already deposited a part payment of about N5 million for the Moroccan visa.

She informed that the team is looking for a balance of N5 million, excluding flight ticket, feeding and hotel accommodation for both the players and officials of the team for the period the tournament would last in Morocco.
