Pushing behind them the woeful double away games losses to Kano Pillars and Doma United respectively, NPFL Champions Enyimba Football Club are hopeful of taming league leaders, Lobi Stars this Sunday in Aba.

Speaking to Enyimba media after their last training session ahead of the encounter, Enyimba’s attacking midfielder, Eze Ekwutosiam and Assistant Coach Yemi Olarewaju  expressed the teams readiness to get all three points against Lobi Stars of Markudi in other to make their fans happy.

“We are very much excited coming back home after a double defeat on away games.
It hasn’t been an easy one, they are not a push aside team, they are siting on top of the log but that doesn’t bring any panick or pressure on us, come tomorrow (Sunday) we are going for all three points.

“We urge our fans to come out en masse. We are in high spirit and we are fully ready, hopefully we will get the deserved result,” Ekwutosiam insisted.

Also speaking, Coach Yemi said they just want to win for their fans so everyone can be happy;

“Yeah we know it’s going to be a tough game, Lobi is having a good time now, they played on Sunday and have had a week rest but we just came back from Gombe having played two consecutive games at Kano and Gombe.

“But for us we are Enyimba, we just want to win for our fans, we want every body to be happy, I don’t think they can survive us here in Aba, the boys are ready, we must do everything to win the match in the pitch.

“Having said that, we would want all our fans to be behind us, we want to make them happy and am sure every body will be happy.

The last time Enyimba met with Lobi Stars in the league was in the Super Six last season and both sides settled for a 2-2 draw.

Lobi currently occupies top of the NPFL league table after 8 games while the league champions are 18th on the log haven played 5 games in the league this season.
