ASTUC Youth now pledges the Anambra State Anthem as a daily prayer for Anambra youths worldwide, making it the wing’s official devotion.

The resolution comes during the ASTUC Youth National Working Committee meeting on May 30, 2026, where members focus discussions on youth development and shaping the state’s future.

Speaking to Newsmen shortly, The President, His Youthfulness, Comrade Ken Okoli said the adoption is aimed at inspiring young people to believe in the Anambra project and strengthen their participation and commitment to the growth and progress of the state.

Comrade Okoli urged all patriotic Anambra youths, both within Nigeria and in the diaspora, to recite the anthem at least once daily, whether in the morning, afternoon, or at night.

He noted that regular recitation of the anthem would reinforce the spirit of service, unity, and responsibility among young people, while promoting the belief that “Anambra is ours and Anambra we serve.”

The ASTUC Boss, further encouraged the inclusion of the anthem in all youth-related meetings, functions, events, and gatherings as a collective prayer for the state’s continued development.

The adopted prayer reads:

“With all our hearts

We pray and ask

God bless Anambra

God bless the shining light that we bear

We are the only ones to make her brighter

The only ones to make her better

The only ones to make Anambra shine

With our sweat and blood, every breath of our lives

With trust in God

We would lift our homeland high

We believe in togetherness

We’ll build a land of progress

Lift the spirit of Anambra

Lift the spirit of Anambra

Lift the spirit of Anambra, State we love.”
