The Board of Administration of Confederation of African Volleyball (CAVB) has officially appointed Engineer Musa Nimrod as the President of the CAVB Beach Volleyball Commission.

This appointment, made in Casablanca, Morocco, represents a significant milestone not only for Nimrod but also for the future development of beach volleyball across Africa.

In his acceptance speech, Nimrod expressed his vision for beach volleyball, promising to elevate it to one of the premier sports on the continent.

“With our collective efforts and strategic planning, we can unlock this sport’s immense potential.”

Nimrod who doubles as President of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation also took a moment to commend the leadership of CAVB, particularly Madam Bouchra Hajij, the Board of Administration; Engineer Habu Gumel, who he referred to as the father of volleyball in Nigeria and the President CAVB Zone 3, Ali Yaro.

“I want to applaud the unwavering support and guidance from Madam Bouchra Hajij and Engineer Habu Gumel. Their dedication to the sport has been instrumental in our progress, and I look forward to working closely with them to promote beach volleyball across Africa.

“My appreciation will not be complete without recognising the efforts of the President CAVB Zone 3, Ali Yaro for his support throughout the years.

“The commission will work closely with Madam Bouchra Hajij ensuring her dreams for beach volleyball in the continent becoming a reality”, he said.
