Ahudiyannem Queens continued their flawless run at the 2nd Governor Douye Diri Women Pre-Season Football Tournament in Yenagoa, thrashing Rangers International Women 3-0 in MatchDay Three.
The Queens were ruthless from the blast of the whistle. Owoeye Temitope struck twice in the 4th and 24th minutes to put the game beyond Rangers before Victory Numa sealed the emphatic victory with a 75th minute strike.

It was Ahudiyannem’s third win in three matches, following their thrilling 2-1 comeback win over Remo Stars Ladies on MatchDay 2. With 9 points from 3 games, 6 goals scored and just 1 conceded, the Queens sit comfortably top of Group B with a +5 goal difference.
In the other Group B fixture, Nasarawa Amazons and Remo Stars Ladies settled for a 1-1 draw. Remo Stars Ladies are now third with 2 points, while Nasarawa Amazons are fourth with 1 point and Rangers Women bottom with 1 point.

In Group A, Delta Queens retained top spot with 5 points from three matches after holding hosts Bayelsa Queens to a 0-0 draw. C2E Sports Academy edged Imo Strikers FC 3-2 to move to fourth on 3 points, while Imo Strikers remain bottom with no point. Edo Queens, who were on bye on MatchDay Three, are second with 4 points.
The tournament will resume tomorrow, Tuesday October 6th, 2026, with a high-profile clash as reigning NWFL champions Edo Queens tackle hosts Bayelsa Queens at the Samson Siasia Stadium, Yenagoa by 10am.

The fixture will rekindle the age-long rivalry between both sides, with Bayelsa Queens boasting two NWFL titles and Edo Queens, the Senator Monday Okpebholo Girls, emerging champions in 2024 and 2026.
