Encomium reigned on Sunday, at the family thanksgiving of Dr Emenike E. E. Ezinando, at St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, G.R.A. Awka and the reception venue, Mulumba Hall, St Patrick’s Cathedral, Awka.
Dr Ezinando and wife expressed their joy and thanked God for his numerous blessings in their family.
In an interview, Rev Fr Dr Anthony Akabuogu extolled God for his blessings on Ezinando family, saying: “To God be all the glory. It’s not easy for one to retire and still be young. I thank God for the family growth. He has something to show for his retirement. It’s good to give thanks to God, for when we do so, he does more for us. I urge the children to continue the good work. As part of Aquinas family, I came to celebrate with them.”
On behalf of Awka Capital Friends Club, the President, Dr Tochukwu Mbachi said: “We value friendship. One of our members is celebrating family thanksgiving, so we are here to cheer him up. We are men of integrity, without stain, professionals. We wish him more celebrations in good health. We wish him all the best.”
Engr. Dr. A. C. Okeke, Secretary Sacred Heart Sub Council, Knights of St Mulumba, Awka, congratulated the family as he said: “Ezinando is our executive member. He has worked and retired as a Permanent Secretary in Anambra State Civil Service. It’s not easy. I congratulate him with his wife and family. I thank God for his goodness and also pray for more blessings on them.”
The Chairman, Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (Awka District), Dr. Anyadufu Anthony, on behalf of his group had these to say: “Ezinando is our member and patron. We are here to celebrate with him. We wish him more celebrations. Happiness will be part of his life, he will celebrate more and more.”
In their different interviews, Sir Nchekwube Anthony Dunga and Sir Clement U. Onyekwelu, a pioneer member of Awka Capital Friends Club, with joy, stated that they came to celebrate with the family and also pointed out that it is good to give thanks to God from time to time.
The elder brother of the Celebrant, Chief Paul Ezinando (Mmammiri nke izizi n’Igbariam) praised God for the successful celebration and also prayed for journey mercy on each and everyone that graced the occasion.
