Four serving House of Assembly members in Anambra state  have abandoned the governor Prof Charles Soludo and moved to join APC Candidate, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu to capture the state in the November 8th governorship election.

The lawmakers include Hon Paul Oti representing Orumba north (LP), Hon Augustine Ikedoji representing Nnewi north (YPP), Hon Patrick Okafor of Onitsha North 2 (LP) and Hon Patrick Udoba of Anambra West (APGA).

The four House members were welcomed into the APC family in Awka during the Inauguration of APC Anambra state 2025 Governorship Election Campaign Council.

Welcoming the defectors, the APC governorship candidate, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu commended them for joining in the efforts to ensure that the state gets it right in the November 8th election.

According to him, moving Anambra state to the centre will position the state for all round development which is the hallmark of APC as a political party.

Expressing confidence that the party has the right team to win the polls in the state believing that credible men and women to drive the party’s mission have been assembled.

He appealed for support from the party faithful and other state residents pledging to strengthen security to bolster the business environment in the state if elected.

Prince Ukachukwu promised to establish a gas power plant in Anambra to harness gas resources to drive industrial development and also revolutionise the agri-value chain with insurance policies to promote mechanised farming in the state, if elected.
