Enyimba FC midfield powerhouse, Chinedu Ufere, has assured fans that the club’s glory days are on the horizon, urging them to stay steadfast in their support as the team battles through a challenging campaign.

Ahead of their crucial NPFL Matchday 27 clash against Niger Tornadoes in Lafia on Sunday, Ufere delivered a heartfelt message to the People’s Elephant faithful, acknowledging their unwavering backing and vowing that the team is fully committed to restoring its dominance.

“I just want to say thank you to the fans for their support so far throughout this difficult period. We promise to do what it takes to bring the club back to its glory days”, he promised.

The Nine times NPFL champions have endured an inconsistent run this season, including a rare home draw in the first stanza against Tornadoes—courtesy of a second-half equalizer from Ufere himself. However, the midfield general remains resolute that brighter days lie ahead, starting with their clash against the “Ikon Allah Boys” at the Lafia City Stadium.

“For our match in Lafia against Niger Tornadoes, the boys are determined, and we are going all out to return with points. We want to bring back joy to the faces of our fans and restore glory to the club”, Ufere assured.

Though Tornadoes will be buoyed by their stunning midweek away victory over Lobi Stars in Bauchi, they will be aiming to build momentum on home soil. Yet, Ufere and his Enyimba teammates are laser-focused on proving their mettle and reigniting their season with a statement performance.

With history slightly favoring the People’s Elephant—who have won eight of their 18 encounters against Tornadoes since 2009—Enyimba fans will hope that their midfield dynamo’s words translate into action when the battle kicks off at 4 PM on Sunday as the chase to march up the log becomes imminent.
