Organisers of the 2025 edition of the Gombe State Principals Cup for Secondary Schools have announced that scouts from Germany and other European countries are on hand to pick talented players for further nurturing.

The Chairman of the Main Organising Committee for the grassroots football development programme, Hon. Ahmed Shuaibu-Gara Gombe, who disclosed this at a World Press Conference to herald the commencement of the competition, explained that one of the scouts is a former Nigerian international.

He revealed that scouts will select players who excel at the competition for training in Germany, and successful ones will be given automatic scholarship to study and play football in Germany.

After yesterday’s draws ceremony, the 27 teams were housed in eight groups for the preliminary matches that begin on Tuesday morning at the Patami Stadium, while the third place match and final match will come up on Saturday at the same venue.
