The Managing Director, Anambra State Civic and Social Reformation, Sir Chuka Nnabuife, has said that the ultimate greatness of any society is by maintaining law and order.

He stated that without kenness for law and order, development factors as regards to wellbeing of the land, genuine interest in neighbourhood and hospitality will not be archived.

He pointed out that resources will rest in hands of some of individuals and the commoners end up getting poorer making them to infest their angst on society in the form of disenchantment, engaging in criminal activities such as arson, violence and other vices.

According to him, in a bid to forestall the aforementioned, the governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Soludo established the Anambra State Civil and Social Reformation Office (ANCISRO) on September 1,2024.

He explained that the agency has the aim of inspiring and instilling and enduring reformation of the values and social conduct of Ndi Anambra with the view of making the State lovable and robustly prosperous.

The ANCISRO boss said that the agency is a social orientation faculty in the Governor’s Office aimed at making Anambra a land of great happy people in manner and means and also delivery of message to everyone and to educate in enlightening way.

He also emphasised that many in the society now give hunger as a quick excuse and cover for almost all their misdemeanors, including those that are clear acts of character flaw and total disregard for the laws of the land and codes of social conduct.

He called on Ndi Anambra and all residents to make Anambra State a lovable and prosperous homeland.

Also speaking, Chief Barr. Akachukwu Maduakolam spoke on Anambra Values and how it affects Yuletide. He blamed lack of integrity for some negative actions people get involved in.

He also said that Anambra state is  uniquely located at crossroad because of the valuable markets which attract many people from all walks of life.

Former Anambra State NUJ Chairman,Mr Victor Agusiobo while speaking said that orientation should be extended to uniform agencies.

He gave an instance where a security man will hide under a mango tree waiting for a car owner to park wrongly before he will come out of his hiding place and start demanding for something to feed his pocket. “It is good to do the right thing at the right time”, he concluded.

Another speaker, Professor Cliff Nwanna said that Ndi Anambra are great but can only harness their potential to become better because Nigeria has a lot of things to become better and prevent issues of travelling outside.
