This prestigious initiative underscores the growing movement to nurture young female football talents and provide a competitive platform for their skills to shine.

With the powerful slogan, “Empowering Women,” the SheFootball Initiative continues its unwavering commitment to promoting women’s football across Nigeria and beyond. The list of teams for the 2025 edition features prominent academies and rising football clubs that have dedicated themselves to grooming the next generation of football stars.

Ten teams have earned invitations, ensuring a rich blend of talent, experience, and energy:

Ayisat Yusuf Queens FA, Dream Star Ladies’ FC, Victory Queens FA, FC Phoenix Queens, Future Star 99 SA, SGH Amazon SA, Royaltoms International FA, Youthful Talent 99 FA.

Each of these teams brings unique strengths to the tournament, from tactical expertise to raw talent, promising a highly competitive and electrifying event.

This initiative goes beyond football and offers a stage for young women players to showcase their abilities and catch the eyes of scouts, sponsors, and professional teams.

The iconic Legacy Pitch at the National Stadium in Surulere, Lagos, will serve as the perfect host for this energetic gathering.

Fans and football enthusiasts are encouraged to attend and witness the raw talent and competitive spirit of Nigeria’s finest young women footballers.

SheFootball is an initiative of Ayisat Yusuf a former Super Falcons Defender, who represented Nigeria at the 2004 WAFCON, 2007 FIFA Women’s World Cup and the 2008 Beijing Olympics. The Initiative stands as a bold reminder that women’s football is growing, and platforms like this are essential in shaping the future of the sport. On January 4th, all eyes will be on Lagos as a new chapter in women’s football begins.
