Captain of Ijele FC, Alex Izunna has asked his team mates to approach their game against Crown FC tomorrow in Ogbomosho with fresh fire and go for victory.

Speaking to Ijele FC media, the captain encouraged the players to play without fear and exhibit the Ijele spirit.

He wants them to put behind the result of their debut home game which they drew against Inter Lagos pointing out that they have the capacity to grab good results from anywhere as NNL has provided such environment.

“We did well in our last match but there is a room for improvement for us. Throughout the game we played, you saw what we could do. But the game is just starting, I believe with this kind of result everyone is going to start paying attention to doing more”,

“This is the beginning so I have to say it is a pretty good start for us. But as we go out tomorrow against Crown FC, it will be a different game. We would go out with fresh fire and do our fans proud”, he said

He thanked his team mates for putting up a good fight in their debut game. “I want to thank my team mates, they put in their best but it is quite unfortunate that we drew. Everyone was exceptional and I was surprised that they played even better than I expected”,

“So, I am really proud of them. I am also proud of the coach, in the short time he has had, the coach did a wonderful job in our team. He had such a short time to prepare us for the game, I didn’t even believe we would play as well as we did but we executed the little he taught us and we came out successful. That result has encouraged us and we will do more”.

“Our dream is promotion. Our opponent last week during their debut season played the playoffs and lost in the final so I believe we can do it”
