The FCT Football Coaches Association has honored former NFF President Alhaji Sani Lulu Abdullahi and Barrister Babatunde Akintade (Bucknor) for their significant roles in developing grassroots football in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and Nigeria.

The awards were presented during the Association’s year-end ceremony, which highlighted the pair’s dedication to advancing the game. Alhaji Lulu urged local coaches to take up the challenge of improving football standards, emphasizing that coaches and players are the sport’s backbone.

Barrister Bucknor, a registered coach and member of the FCT Football Association Board, expressed his appreciation for the recognition, pledging continued support for football development at all levels. Bucknor’s team, Like Mind FC, recently emerged victorious in the 2024 Unity Preseason Tournament in the FCT.
