The Management Staff and the 12 Zonal Commanding Officers were taken through the insightful, impactful and comprehensive capacity building training on policy formulation, planning, and implementation.

According to the Press Release signed by Assistant Corps Marshal, Corps Public Education Officer, Olusegun Ogungbemide, the training was targeted at equipping the Officers with the knowledge that would enhance policy development and improved strategic planning.

The effort is aimed towards the actualization of the vision of the Corps; minimize injuries and fatalities in road traffic crashes.

The training gave adequate priority to the most relevant areas of policy analysis and development, strategic planning and management, implementation and evaluation techniques in addition to leadership and team building.

The Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed who declared the workshop open on Tuesday, emphasised on the impact of staff capacity development on the realisation of the safety mandate. He revealed amongst others that the training underscores the commitment of his administration to excellence in policy formulation and implementation.

Experts from renowned institutions and seasoned policy analysts coordinated by Alnas Consulting Ltd who handled the training gave their best to ensure that the expected knowledge was impacted.

You would recall that the Corps Marshal has since his assumption of office, made staff capacity development topmost of his agenda and this is one amongst many that have been carried out in the last couple of months
