AGS 1998 Set Football Competition Finals To Hold On Sunday

.….CSS Mbaukwu To Challenge Agulu Grammar School For Trophy 

The Agulu Grammar school 1998 Set Old Boys Inter School Football Competition will climax on Sunday with CSS Mbaukwu challenging Agulu Grammar school for the trophy.

The tournament which began on Wednesday saw Agulu Grammar School thrashing Alpha Academy 5 – 0 and CSS Mbaukwu humbling Alpha Star Agulu 3-0 on Thursday to book a place in the finals.

Alpha Star and Alpha Academy will later today, try each other for size in the losers game in search of the bronze medal.

The finals on Sunday will be played at the Agulu Grammar School playground.

Speaking separately to Newspathfinder, Chairman 98 Set AGS, Barrister Ejikeme Obiefuna and Chairman, Planning Committee, Mr. Ogechukwu Ezeudu said  the tournament is aimed at celebrating the Silver Jubilee of their graduation from the school as well as an avenue to revive sporting activities within the school and the educational zone.

They informed that as part of the celebration, the 1998 set will also pay for the WAEC fees of all the SS3 students of their alma mater come the month of December 2024.
