The immediate past National Auditor of All Progressives Congress, Sir Paul Chukwuma, has said that if given the ticket of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) for the 2025 governorship election in Anambra State, he will surely defeat the incumbent, Prof Chukwuma Soludo.
Chukwuma stated this in his during a consultative meeting held in his home country, Umueri in Anambra East Local Government Area, with the party chairmen from the 326 wards in the state, including 21 local government area chairmen, three Senatorial zonal working committee and members of state working committee.s
The former auditor who is also one of the founding fathers of APC in Anambra State promised to elevate the party far and above any other political party in both the state and Suth-East geopolitical zone.
The meeting was led by the state party chairman, Chief Basil Ejidike, during which Chukwuma confirmed his interest in contesting for the Anambra governorship seat currently occupied by Prof. Chukwuma Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance.
He said that he has organized regular seminars and interactive meetings at all levels of the party leadership.
His words, “I am committed to giving the APC an overwhelming support base, financial backing, unrivalled motivation and confidence amidst political parties.l
All these effort is to ensure that no other party in Anambra State would stand before APC’s victory in the fast-approaching 2025 governorship election.”
While announcing the donation of a brand new State secretariat, as well as three Zonal offices and grassroots offices in the 326 electoral Wards of Anambra State. Chukwuma added, “Henceforth, never again will APC be lost in the crowd or relegated to the background in the state.
“I have now provided a new State office, Zonal offices, and 326 Wards offices. I have also provided funds for regular monthly meetings for constant interactions among members.
“I insist that we all as APC members must be very proud of the party. We must have a distinct uniform that will always stand us out as APC members. We must wear it with pride, after all, we are the national ruling party.
“We have to ensure that the APC stays far ahead of other political parties in the state, run in a purely different manner, with nothing short of winning the coming 2025 governorship election, we must organise regular seminars for the party leaders and select members all over the state.’
He further also presented booklets for registration of members.
Present at the meeting were the party’s Board of Trustee members which include, Chief Ralph Okeke, the state party chairman, Basil Ejidike, Chief Ifeanyi Ibezi, Hon Chinedu Elumuno, former members of the Federal House of Representatives and other party top brass in the state.
Earlier in his speech, the State Chairman, Ejidike hailed Chukwuma for his show of love to the party at all levels.
