Daughter Of UNIZIK DVC Emerges Best Graduating Medical Student, Babcock University

Dr. Belusochi Joe-Ikechebelu, daughter of UNIZIK Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration), Prof. Joseph Ikechebelu,  has emerged as the Best Graduating Medical Student of Babcock University, Ogun State.

In a colourful graduating ceremony held at the institution on Monday, 13th February 2023, Dr. Belusochi came out tops with eight distinctions in ten courses offered in the medical discipline.

According to information made available on NAU Community WhatsApp forum by the DVC Admin, Prof. Ikechebelu, the distinctions were recorded in anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, pharmacology, pathology, medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology.

Dr. Belusochi chose to toe the line of her parents, his father, Prof. Joseph Ikechebelu is a renowned fertility expert and Gynaecological endoscopic surgeon who pioneered the establishment of Assisted Reproductive Technology Services in Anambra State in 2010 with the delivery of the first In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF) conception (aka Baby Joseph) on 6th August, 2011 while her mother, Prof. Ngozi Joe-Ikechebelu is a Professor of Community Medicine at the Chukwuemeka Odimegwu Ojukwu University Igbariam, Anambra State.
