The management of Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) Awka says it will soon deploy the use of Human Resource Management software to enhance daily administrative duties in the institution.

This disclosure was made by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration), Prof. Joseph Ikechebelu during a chat with newsmen in Awka.

Prof. Ikechebelu stated that the institution is set for digitalization of most of its administrative processes to enbance service delivery, seamless transition and improvement of work output.

According to him, the step is geared towards raising the visibility of the institution in line with ‘Project 200’ vision of the present administration under the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Charles Esimone, FAS.

Prof Ikechebelu opined that hitherto administrative reforms had commenced with introduction of Central Information Reference Management System (CIRMS) which is important in creating a database for all staff of the institution and equally making the profile of the institution’s members of staff and the Ivory Tower to be visible.

The Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology also disclosed that information flow and management has been reengineered in the University just as processing of transcript which before now takes a lot of time to process can now be obtained with ease by the University’s graduands within couple of hours upon application and request developed.

Prof. Ikechebelu also said that the developed Human Resource Management software has been put though tests, ready to function and in no distant time will be fully deployed for seamless administrative processes in the institution.
