Obuh Sponsored Abia FA Coaching Seminar Gets 25-26 October Date

The Coach John Obu sponsored Grassroots Football Coaching Training in Abia State will hold in Umuahia from Wednesday 25-26 October 2023.

The program which is holding under the auspices of the Youth Development Committee of the Abia State Football Association will involve 40 grassroot Coaches in the State solely sponsored by the Chairman of Abia Warriors FC of Umuahia Coach John Obu, a FIFA Coaches Instructor.

The training according to Coach Obu, who was the National U.17 and U20 Head Coach is aimed at ensuring that the grassroot Coaches are adequately empowered to inculcate the required skills to the players.

Coach Obu who said that he is motivated to this, because of the important role the grassroot Coaches play in the development of football in the country.

He said this necessitated to his bringing highly reputed Football Coach, Henry Abiodun and his H&B Sports Organization to the State, to tutor the Coaches on the recent trends in the football coaching.

Confirming this, an elated Football Association Chairman of the State Dr. Obioma Onyeaghala said the two days program which will hold at Villaroy Hotel Umuahia, will serve as a train – the- trainers coaching training.

He was full of appreciation to the Chairman of Abia Warriors FC for facilitating the program that will see the grassroot Coaches in the state learning more from other established Coaches and instructors.

He said Coach John Obu himself will be on ground to teach the Coaches, with the Second Vice President of the Nigeria Football Coaches Association Coach Victor Nwakanma, Chairman Abia State Youth Football Development Committee Coach Patrick Ngwaogu and retired FIFA Referee Sir Charles Nwokocha.
