The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has launched a decisive crackdown on mixed loading, a practice that converts vehicles into rolling death traps.
The operation, led by Sector Commander CC Tijani Iliyasu, aims to eliminate life-threatening practices on Kaduna highways.

Mixed loading, which involves transporting humans, animals, and goods in the same vehicle, compromises vehicle stability, weakens braking control, and increases the risk of fatal crashes.
Following firm directives from the Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, the Kaduna Sector Commander, CC Tijani Iliyasu, led the operation that resulted in the interception and apprehension of multiple articulated vehicles found conveying a hazardous combination of over 100 humans beings, animals, and goods along critical corridors during the ongoing Easter Special Patrol.

According to the media release signed by the Corps Public Education Officer Federal Road Safety Corps Headquarters, Deputy Corps Commander Osondu Ohaeri, the FRSC has deployed 1,470 personnel, 401 Special Marshals, 30 patrol vehicles, and modern enforcement equipment to key corridors, including Lagos-Ibadan, Abuja-Lokoja, and Kaduna-Zaria-Kano.

Mobile courts have been set up to prosecute offenders, and traffic camps have been activated to manage congestion and respond to crashes.
The Federal Road Safety Corps reassures of its commitment to the protection of lives and property on all Nigerian roads through sustained nationwide enforcement, intelligence-driven patrols, and aggressive public enlightenment campaigns.

The Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed urged stakeholders and members of the public to support ongoing efforts by complying with traffic regulations, reminding them that safety on the highways is a collective responsibility that must not be compromised.
He advised the public to report emergencies via the toll-free number 122 or 0700-CALL-FRSC
